Fequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: It keeps saying "Java is not recognized as an internal or external source". What do I do? This article will help you fix that issue.
A: Follow it step-by-step:

Q: How do my friends join my server?
A: You're friends have to type in your IP address, not your IPv4, into Minecraft. If they can not connect, make sure they type in :25565 after the Example IP: 68.169.65.34.22:25565. This makes sure they go through the correct port when connecting.

Q: I did everything correctly, but no one can join my server! What should I do?
A: Make sure that you're port forward has your IPv4 as your internal IP, and that you have both UDP and TCP being forward. Most routers have the TCP/UDP option that will work, but some do require you to add them separately. Also, make sure the port that is forwarded is "25565".

Q: When I type "ipconfig" in the CMD it says, "ipconfig is not recognized as in internal or external command operable program or batch file", what do I do?
A: Hit the "Windows Button" on your keyboard. It will open up the start menu. Search for "CMD" on the start menu. Right click on the "CMD" program and click "Run As Administrator". Now, the "ipconfig" command will work!
