To text chat in Roblox on your PS5, follow these steps:

Ensure Chat is Available: Text chat has been rolling out for PS5 since early 2025, but not all accounts or games support it yet. Games like Brookhaven or Natural Disaster Survival are more likely to have it enabled.

In-Game Steps:
While in a Roblox game, press the Options button (the small button with three lines near the touchpad) on your PS5 controller.

Select Chat from the menu that appears.
A chat window will pop up. Type your message using the on-screen keyboard.

Press R1 to send the message.
To hide the chat window, press Circle.

Faster Typing (Optional):

Connect a USB or Bluetooth keyboard to your PS5 for quicker typing, as the on-screen keyboard can be slow.
