How To Trigger OBS Sources From Twitch Chat With Touch Portal (Without Global Events)
32In this tutorial we will learn how to trigger actions in OBS based on content in Twitch chat using Touch Portal. It is built upon the previous tutorial where we created custom widgets for OBS using HTML, while it is useful to have done that one it is not required, this can be used as a standalone tutorial.
We will cover how to trigger an OBS Source via a button manually, which can be useful for showing things for a short period or other simple actions. Then we move on to using twitch chat as the trigger to control OBS Sources.
It is mentioned briefly in the video but *currently* Touch Portal 2.2 only has the notion of local events which requires a button with events to be on the active page, however in Touch Portal 2.3 they will introduce global events, which I assume is a similar approach but it will run regardless of the active page.
As always hope this tutorial is useful and I may have another couple of tutorials to do around this sort of thing as there is far more you can do with twitch chat integration.
