To fight hardest monsters in the game - Tempered monsters, you need to trigger Tempered Investigation quest by collecting Tempered tracks. Each time you collect a Tempered track there is a random chance that you will trigger an investigation. The investigation target doesn't correspond to the monster that left the track that triggered it, but you would be issued an investigation for a monster that inhabit the same area or Elder Recess. In this video I show the most efficient way to farm Tempered Tracks I have found so far. Some of the tracks have a random chance of appearance, but the very first Tempered Diablo Scratches seem to always appear in the area.
