Are you annoyed by YouTube automatically playing a new video after the video you wanted to watch is done? Maybe you're worried about your kids watching YouTube on your device and being served something inappropriate. No matter the reason YouTube makes it easy to turn off autoplay on the YouTube website.
So, if you’re ready to take control of your YouTube settings and stop autoplay for good, let’s dive right into it.
Step 1. Open a video on the YouTube website to play it.
Step 2. Hold your cursor over the screen to bring up the onscreen menu.
Step 3. Find the autoplay icon on the lower part of the screen, and then click to toggle "Autoplay" off. Going forward, whenever you come to the end of a YouTube video on the YouTube desktop site, you'll sit on the endscreen for that video rather than being advanced to another video.
