To turn off a PlayStation 4 (PS4), you can follow these steps:

From the main menu or while in a game, press and hold the PlayStation button on the center of the controller. This will bring up the Quick Menu.

Navigate to the right and highlight the "Power" option.

In the Power menu, you will see several options: "Switch User," "Enter Rest Mode," and "Turn Off PS4."

To completely turn off the PS4, select the "Turn Off PS4" option.

A confirmation screen will appear, giving you two options: "Enter Rest Mode" or "Turn Off." Select "Turn Off" to shut down the PS4.

The system will initiate the shutdown process, and the power indicator on the PS4 will turn off once it's powered down completely. At this point, it is safe to unplug the power cord if needed.
