Video Transcript:
By default, Google Chrome offers a standard level of protection, warning you about potentially dangerous events, and checking any URLs you visit against a list of known unsafe URLs Google is aware of. However, if you want to go a step further you can turn on the enhanced safe browsing protection feature. With enhanced protection enabled Chrome will try to warn you about dangerous events before they happen, warn you of potentially dangerous downloads, alert you if your passwords are exposed in a data breach, and much more. You can turn on the enhanced protection safe browsing feature with a few quick clicks.

Now let's walk through the steps to turn on the enhanced protection safe browsing feature in the Google Chrome web browser.

Step 1. Launch the Google Chrome web browser, click the vertical ellipses next to your profile icon at the top of the screen, and then click "Settings" in that menu. You'll land on the Google Chrome settings screen.

Step 2. Click "Privacy and Security" in the menu on the left side of the screen. Google Chrome privacy and security options are shown on the right side of the screen.

Step 3. Navigate to the Privacy and Security section, and then click "Security." The Security screen is displayed.

Step 4. Navigate to the Safe Browsing section, and then click to select the radio button next to "Enhanced Protection." Enhanced safe browsing will be enabled in Google Chrome going forward. If you ever decide you don't like the feature or no longer need it, you can navigate back here at any time to turn it off.
