How to Uninstall PS5 Games using the PS App on Phone (Free Up Storage Space)
If you want to uninstall PS5 games remotely using the PlayStation app on your phone, follow these steps:
Install the PlayStation App: If you haven’t already, download and install the PlayStation app on your Android or iPhone device.
Log In and Link Your Console:
Open the app and sign in with your PlayStation account.
Link your console to the app by selecting the cog icon (usually found at the top-right corner) and scrolling down to “Link console to app”. Follow the instructions to complete the linking process.
Access Storage Settings:
Make sure your PS5 is in rest mode and connected to the internet. If it’s fully shut down, this won’t work.
Once linked, go to the Play tab (represented by a controller icon) at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the Gear icon at the top-right corner.
Look for the “Storage” entry. If you don’t see it, ensure your app is up-to-date.
Select Games to Delete:
Under Storage, you’ll find a list of games installed on your PS5.
Check the games you want to uninstall. You can select as many as you’d like.
Delete the Games:
Tap the “Delete X Games” button at the bottom.
Confirm the operation.
Your PS5 will turn on, erase the selected games’ install files, and then go back into rest mode.
Remember that this process won’t delete your saved data for the games; it only removes the game installations. Enjoy managing your PS5 games remotely!
