How to use a DSLR as a webcam (featuring Elgato Cam Link 4K)
17This is a video showing you how to use your DSLR camera as a webcam. If you own a digital camera, then you might find that you can use this technique to turn that camera into a webcam and thereby improve the quality of your video capture, not only on Twitch, Facebook Gaming or YouTube but also on every other video app - Teams, Slack, Zoom, Skype etc.
It's really simple to do as well.
A number of things are required. In my example, I'm using a Panasonic Lumix GH4, but there are plenty of other cameras this will work with as well.

Be sure to check that your camera is compatible with the Elgato Cam Link 4K before you get started!

You will then need an appropriate HDMI cable to connect your camera to the capture card that then plugs into your PC. In my case, that's a HDMI to HDMI Mini, but that's really going to vary depending on what camera you're using.
The next step is something to mount it on.
