How to use a GoXLR and StreamDeck to create hilarity on your stream
266This is a video to show you how to combine the full size GoXLR with the Elgato StreamDeck to record your friends and have some silly fun by sampling them (and yourself) on stream. I've been having a lot of silly fun with this lately and want to show you how to do it too.
You'll need two things - a GoXLR and a StreamDeck. It'll work with any size StreamDeck and the mobile app as well (https://www.elgato.com/en/gaming/stream-deck-mobile) but you need the full sized GoXLR as the mini does not have a sampler.
The GoXLR is great because it samples from mic and chat audio (if you follow my guide) but doesn't capture game sounds, music or other audio that's playing. It also neatly normalises levels so everything sounds the same. What it doesn't do though is let you know what button plays what recording. By using a Stream Deck you can label your buttons so you can playback the sound you want on stream.
