How to Use Handbrake and Reduce Video File Size Without Loss in Quality
Today we will learn how to install and use Handbrake to reduce the file size of a video. This video tutorial is brought to you by Commix and More.
Here are the steps to install Handbrake to your Windows machine:
1. Open your browser and head over to: https://handbrake.fr
2. In the downloads section, download the version of handbrake that is suited to your computer. In this instance, we are using a Windows 7 computer so we install a Windows-compatible installer.
Note: Handbrake is a multi-platform software that supports Windows, Macintosh and Linux.
3. Once downloaded, you can run the installation file and install it to your machine.
Steps on how to reduce the file size:
1. Using Handbrake, open the video you want to reduce.
2. In the Video tab, make sure that you check or tick the "Web Optimized" option for the video.
3. In the Audio tab, make it into MP3 and reduce the bit rate 128.
(In the video it was not shown, since the original video had no audio on it.)
4. Click Encode.
And there you have it. You have reduced your video's file size using Handbrake.
