The scenario editor in Rimworld Alpha 16 is pretty extensive. You can use it to increase how many traders you get, how often cold snaps happen, how severe diseases are. You can even set it so that when NPCs die they explode. It even crashed my computer.. Be careful with that..

But yeah you can setup your Mad Max Wasteland with 70 heatwaves going on, you can freeze your world down to a permanent 0 Kelvin. Permanent solar flare, permanent toxic fallout etc.
