In this video, I go over the basics on how to set up the Drummer Track, a handy feature in Logic Pro X. The Drummer Track enables you to quickly set up a great template for your compositional purposes.

A solid rhythmic section is produced following these steps:

1) Choose a Drummer track genre and performer (e.g. R&B, Curtis).
2) Complete the track by adding regions that vary in volume and complexity.
3) Duplicate the track, and convert this new track to MIDI by right-clicking on the track and selecting "Convert to MIDI Region". Note, the MIDI track will be green.
4) Highlight a row in the new section (e.g. the kick drum), then copy and paste it in a new MIDI track. Note, though what you paste is MIDI data, the track will be yellow.
