The Spyderco Tri-Angle Sharpmaker can be found for about $50-60 and offers a simple, convenient way to sharpen an edge at either 30 or 40 degree angle. It uses ceramic rods that are arranged in a V-shape position so that all you need to do is to keep the edge pointed down.

A simply whetstone is of course a cheaper alternative for knife sharpening but it requires a lot of practice to get the angle right consistently.
