How to use the Subdiv & Smoothing tools in CRYENGINE Designer | Art & Animation
In this quick lesson we focus on the concept of using subdivision or using smoothing groups to represent a polygonal surface that has accurate falloff on each phong edge break. After showing the smoothing groups we learn how subdivision is applied to an object and how to target certain edges for "creasing" to maintain a hard edge on the object even when smoothed.
