Here's an in-depth breakdown of how games will be rated on this channel. This criteria goes into effect immediately and covers all Postmortems in (at least) Seasons 1 & 2 of this channel. Games rated this way include: Final Fantasy XIII & XIII-2 & LIGHTNING RETURNS, StarCraft 2, Final Fantasy XVI, Final Fantasy VII REMAKE & INTERmission & REBIRTH, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition & Return of Rome, and any other future project in 2024.

When i rate a game, my goal is to ask questions and answer them honestly, holding back any personal bias i may have for or against and given game, series, or even studio. Here are the ten questions that make up our ratings here:
1. How does it look relative to the time period when it was released? This section is called **Graphics**
2. how does it feel to play? talking about holding the controller in your hand. does it respond when you press the buttons, are you only taken out of being able to act during reasonable situations. This section is called **Mechanics**.
3. Is it engaging - can you achieve flow state and have a good session? This section is called **Flow State**.
4. Is it interesting? When something happens in the game, does it elicit some kind of emotional response from you the player? This section is **Story**.
5. Does the story actually make sense the longer you play, or do you find yourself asking questions about what happened because it was never clearly explained? This section is called **Continuity**
6. Is the character or whatever you control important to the story, or are you just an observer as important things happen around you? This section is **Perspective**
7. Are the activities in the game rewarding and enjoyable? This section is **Gameplay Loop**
8. Can you pick up the game after you've already completed it and play it again without any negative feelings? This is **Replay Value**
9. Is there anything in the game that not every player will see? Can you break the playerbase into some percentage of did X versus did Y, or is there simply skippable or missable content? This is called **Wasted Resources** - this rating is inversed - lower number means more resources wasted.
10. Does this game do anything for the industry of gaming moving forward, particularly within its own genre or does it simply exist for the sake of existing? This one is **Industry Effect**.
