How Would an Open World Pokémon Game Actually Work?
With the release of Pokémon Let's Go Eevee and Let's Go Pikachu right around the corner, we've all been getting ready to relive our nostalgia with all the new twists this game will bring.
But with that we realise the new game follows the same linear formula the main games always have. With games such as Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey being such big hits it got us thinking - what would an open world Pokémon game actually look like?
We take this question and examine how the existing features could adapt to this new format - everything from battles and gym leaders to HM Moves and the post game experience.
It's hard to know what to expect from a new Pokemon game and if Gen 8 is when we finally get to see an open world Pokémon game, but we think we bring up some pretty good points.
Was there anything we missed out or you disagree with? Let us know in the comments!
