HP Stream 7 Gaming - GTA San Andreas. I've had a number of requests to try GTA San Andreas (or GTA Vice City or GTA III ) on the little HP Stream 7. For a PS2 era game, the game still works best at 800 x 600 resolution, but you can set the details at high. Framerates are all over the place, and fluctuate from the 40's down to high teens. It should perform better on here, and the GTA San Andreas HD in the MS Store will likely be a smoother experience than the old PC version.. personally, I've never been impressed with the performance of Rockstar's console to PC conversions.. they always seem to run better on consoles with inferior hardware - which is a big frustration to PC gamers.

I'm playing with the keyboard, and I can tell you that it's frustrating. A lot of the keys aren't bound to the keyboard layout by default... and because of the age of GTA San Andreas - the Windows 7 standard Xbox controller isn't recognized by GTA:SA. You have to select Gamepad as a control device and then manually map the controller's buttons. A bit of a pain, but that's just because it's an old game - before Xbox 360 helped make way for some gaming control standards in Windows.
