THIS WEEKS BREAKDOWN :

#10 - Sunsets obviously make for great lighting, and the choice of car appeals to me as a GT40 fan. The shot is a little too dark for my taste though, which prevented it from placing higher.

#9 - Nostalgic shots always peak my interest, and this shot from GT5 showcases a great car ensemble on a popular circuit from GT's (recent) past.

#8 - An all-round great shot. The combination of lighting, track choice and shot position give it a very real feel, which cought my attention and scored this shot its place.

#7 - Originality, creativity and thinking outside of the box also catches my attention, and this shots use of the ambient crowd creates a great 'moment-in-time' feel.

#6 - A textbook examle of a good shot. Great shot angle and lighting setup acts to showcase the curves of the car and give it a feeling of purpose and speed. Car choice is spot-on too.

#5 - Oval racing shots can easily feel generic and repetitive, so capturing this moment of rivalry in the correct way can be difficult. Great shot position on track in particular put this shot over the top to make it great.

#4 - Again, nostalgia speaks to me, and shot like this, though difficult for most players to capture, give a great window for GT players new and old alike to look back through GranTurismo's past.

#3 - Creating an atmosphere in a racing shot can be difficult, but this shot combines a number of things which add up to give it an ominous, purposeful feel.

#2 - As I have said before, capturing rivalries or lineage which span the decades will always catch my attention, and this shot showcases two extremes of one of the most iconic family trees ever.

#1 - Chrome can be difficult to photograph effectively. It can easily come off as garish or unnecessary, but when used well, it can showcase the amazing graphics of a game and utilise lighting extremely well. This choice of car, circuit and time of day all add up to give it the win this week.
