This is Ryoumika Soukun's Theme.
Named "The Concealed Four Seasonings".
From the S&Y Incident "Hidden Spice in Four Seasonings".
The ultimate, absolute heavenly celebrity chef from Chinese lore. Except not really. Zao Jun is a god of the stove, but has nothing to do with cooking. I took a few liberties here.
She caused the incident because she felt that the humans were not worthy of handling taste because their cooking is so mediocre in comparison to hers. She wandered around as a hated restaurant critic at first, before beginning the incident. Ryoumika stole all taste from Gensokyo and concentrated it within the Eight Treasures Restaurant that had descended to the Human Village.
Because of this, food tasted much more intense there, but like nothing at all outside of it. She intended to liberate Gensokyo of poor cooking and provide her own, much more exquisite meals to its residents. Her end goal was to control the taste of the entire world.
You are forced to lose to her in stage 6 because the protagonists used seasoning magic throughout their journey. And she knew it.
So she just
ripped it out of the protagonists,
used it against them,
and then sent them back to where they came from.
Pretty convenient huh.
No matter how hard they try, if they still use the seasoning magic, they can't win.
There must be
some way to beat her.
But what is it?
