So unlike in Syndicate and Unity...in Black Flag I cannot have the HUD completely off while I'm doing missions or else objectives don't show up and I'll be running around like a headless chicken for half the game. I have to enable SSI. The reason this is unfortunate is that it also is linked to counter-attack indicators for combat(which I hate) so they have to be on too. :/ Nothing I can do about it until I'm free-playing for montage vids maybe.
