So before anything, I want to say good game to the guy who beat me and Longshot. Yeah, I felt I botched it by forgetting to disable my mouse wheel, but that was on me, and there's no guarantee I would have beaten them if I hadn't swapped guns by accident.

I usually bind my "sprint" to my middle mouse button, hence why I disable mouse wheel weapon changes, as it sucks to accidently switch guns when attempting to sprint at someone.
