There is an interesting interaction with Craven Stratagem : it makes you immune from every debuff - except those specifically unaffected by immunities - but also from the immediate consequences from dispelling the debuff. You might see it as a 0.001 second immunity.
So if you FD the beam, the damage immediately activates - and is immuned because it was linked to the debuff.
Therefore, simply FD the toxic spines and beams. And turtle the beams you can't FD.
Remember also to take the first melee hit to avoid the boss stacking on pet.
Finally, if you do need to heal, the best moment is during a transition once you've reached the new platform.
