Hyper Iria (1995) (ハイパーイリア) Runthrough (Super Famicom)
0Based on an OVA called Iria Zeiram: The Animation (イ・リ・ア ゼイラム ジ アニメーション) comes an action game released on October 13th, 1995 on the Super Famicom (SNES in Japan). Released by a toy company known as Banpresto and developed by a game studio known as TamTam. Tamtam also did that 3D platformer on the Saturn based on a cartoon with a ninja penguin in it. It's basically a maze game and there's a password system. First time playing it, kinda confusing to play at first, then got the hang of it. I like how there is a shoot 'em up section where you don't actually shoot. You're just on your parachute. Probably a cutscene? Maybe. Anyways, this game is not too bad. It controls well, if not a little confusing, nice graphics, cool music and good hit detection. Be my guest and check it out if you will. Call it a poor man’s version of Metroid (without the rolling ball part) if you will and there is nothing special about this game though. But’s that okay, really.
