38With devastating power, the King of Hyrule overcomes his opponents and reasserts his rule over Hyrule. The great beacon of peace and harmony, Hyrule Town, is destroyed forever in the battle. Only a few crumbled walls remain, scattered across Hyrule Field, and will remind all those who pass through of the peace and harmony that was once possible.
In his anger, the King confines the Zora to their domain by placing a seal on its door that may only be opened by the Royal Lullaby, and keeps the Gorons closed off on Death Mountain by stationing a Hylian solider at a locked gate that may only be opened by Royal decree.
Distrust grows between Hylians and the Gerudo, forcing Nabooru and Talon into the choice they always feared they would have to make: she flees to the safety of the desert, while he stays to rebuild the ranch and raise their daughter as best he can.
As for Ganondorf, he is required to visit the throne every year to pledge his allegiance to the crown. For the next decade, many believe he is simply biding his time, waiting for another opportunity to try to take the throne for himself….
