Hyrule Warriors A-ranking, no power-up potions.

I like the Messenger Escort missions for how technical they are. The order in which you do things can really affect how tough of a fight you get. There's tons of Poes in this mission; when there's a lot of them be patient and look for a chance to Weak Point Smash, and that chance WILL come since they're Poes.

The first time I did this mission I used a weapon with No Healing and VS Undead attached to it... needless to say I destroyed this mission, clocking in under 12 minutes. I thought that wouldn't be quite fair to people with less luck on Ghirahim's weapon skills though, so for this run I went with a different weapon that just has all the Strength skills I use.

So first thing I do is head to the S. Rockface Keep and capture it... that stops a couple of Powerful Enemy spawns later on, not to mention the army's marching through at that time which lets me reveal the Keep Boss with a single C4 projectile. Powerful enemies also spawn from the Fairy Fountain and Barrier Keep, But I don't think it's worth the trouble to get those. (In Fairy Fountain's case only because the first one shows up so early)

In these kinds of missions you can actually stop the enemy reinforcements sent to delay the Messengers from appearing. It's a low-priority event, so after the first Messenger arrives at his destination you have to clog up the event queue so that all the Messengers arrive before the reinforcements appear. I guess the basic idea is to leave behind a few enemies as a "stopper" before letting the first Messenger arrive, then you clear the path and unblock the stoppers so the Messengers arrive one after another.

Not easy in this mission; I've only gotten it once here before, but as you can see it's not necessary to do that to finish on time. You can delay the event queue somewhat by using Weak Point Smashes and Special Attacks; Messengers not close to you seem keep moving when you do so.

Ghirahim VS Fi goes as you'd expect. The Imprisoned is actually not too bad for Ghirahim, since his Special has a large range and you can pop all the toes in one go with a high success rate. It's not something you can speed up unless you have high level or good weapon skills, so you want to leave a few minutes to deal with it.

After I got the strategy down I actually have a good success rate for A-ranking this mission; 3 out of 4 today, and one of those I ended early because I was trying the everyone-arrives-at-once strategy. I just picked the one that looked like the cleanest win.
