The game takes place in a space-themed setting where players are colorful, armless cartoon astronauts. Each player takes on one of two roles: most are Crewmates, but a small number are Imposters. Crewmates work to complete assigned tasks in the game while identifying and voting out suspected Imposters (which appear identical to Crewmates) using social deduction, while Imposters have the objective of killing the Crewmates.

The game is played in rounds, each of which lasts about 5-10 minutes. At the beginning of each round, players are randomly assigned one of the two roles. Crewmates are given a list of tasks to complete, such as fixing wiring, emptying garbage, or swiping an ID card. Imposters can sabotage the ship, impersonate Crewmates, and kill Crewmates.

If a Crewmate is killed, their body will be reported by another player. A meeting will then be held, where players can discuss who they think the Imposter is. If a majority of players vote to eject a player, that player is removed from the game. If all of the Imposters are ejected, the Crewmates win. If all of the Crewmates are killed, the Imposters win.
