In theory, this is a pretty good game. The developers had the right idea in what a good 16 bit Star Trek game could be... but in practice this isn't great. You spend most of your time just sitting around waiting for your ship to slowly repair... and you got damaged in battles where it's best to just spin in circles and shoot randomly rather than fly around and try to dodge attacks. Away missions could be fun, but there's no dialog to explain what you're doing or why, and so you just wander around massive maze-like maps solving puzzles that require lots and lots of trial and error to do... something. Then it just kind of ends. With some polish this would be wonderful, but as it is, it's far from great.
