I canceled my pre-order for the TurboGrafx-16 Mini console.....I’m getting it from Amazon JP instead
Recently we all found out that, due to the coronavirus, we wouldn’t be getting a TurboGrafx Mini in the US until late December. However, I suspect that the mini console has already failed in the US altogether and that, perhaps, Konami is simply trying to buy enough time to justify a second batch for production. Supporting this point of view is the fact that gamers can actually buy a TurboGrafx Mini TODAY from Amazon Japan if they really want to. It’s not going to be here until late April, but it’s still coming 7 months earlier than if I had waited.
If the TurboGrafx Mini just can’t make it to the US until December, why can I get one in a few weeks?
However, Hori, the company that makes the hardware, is now reporting coronavirus slow downs as well. Is our Japanese order actually going to come through?
We’ll let you know.
As always, thanks for watching.
