I was so nervous when I started Persona 5. It was far and away the longest game I had ever played, and because I hate myself and because of my autistic desire to beat everything, I never quit a game unless it’s making me too angry.
So I knew I was going to beat the game before even starting it, and I knew that if the game weren’t absolutely amazing, it would be torture as having to slog through an 80-hour game that I wasn’t enjoying sounded like hell.
But just as I had that same reservation when I started One Piece, that feeling of dread quickly fell away as I became enraptured by Persona 5’s exuberant style, artistic characters and natural yet extraordinary story.
