I know, I know, the Onitsuka Tiger is a global fashion icon, as loved by sneakerheads as it is by pop culture followers. But I never wanted a pair, because I didn't really find them appealing to my taste, which aligns more on the spectrum of overengineered, highly technical footwear--like running shoes.

So yes, it took me a long time, and it was finally peer pressure and the curiosity to see just what makes these Onitsuka Tiger shoes, apart from their pop culture appearances, so beloved.
