I get 2 Yes Altitude smartphone for free
27Yes Altitude (also known as China Mobile A1s in China) is a free smartphone from government for those who work at government schools in Malaysia. My mom and dad are teachers. So, I get 2 device from my parents. But my parents doesn't like it and gave it to me when both of my parents received from government.
This phone released in June 2016 when Yes 4G launched their Yes 4G LTE together with their smartphone and sell their prepaid and postpaid SIM cards. Before, Yes 4G is a WiMAX provider until present day (together with P1 WiMAX at the time till 2016 which they change their branding to Webe from 2016 till 2018 before become Unifi Mobile in January 2018 and they take down their WiMAX tower). Yes 4G is the only WiMAX service in Malaysia since 2016 and the first telco with VoLTE and runs 4G LTE only.
Let's talk about the phone itself.
Specs:
-5 inch HD display (screen not too bad for entry level)
-1GHz quad core Qualcomm 410 (but actually when I check with Antutu Benchmark, it says 1.2GHz quad core)
-1GB RAM (hmm... That's quite low in RAM)
-8GB internal (still not enough if you store too much apps and games)
-2300mah (lasts 1 or 2 days depend how I use the device. But last 3-5 hours for heavy usage).
-8mm thin (not too thick, not too thin)
-8 megapixel camera (satisfy for photography at entry level 4G device)
-2 megapixel camera (not quite good for selfie lovers)
-1080p recording (very good for videography)
-Android 5.1 (when release, it's quite a bit old and outdated OS. Nowadays, it's really old! But it's still OK to use and almost all popular apps are useable and updated)
The phone can't really confirm sure have gorilla glass or not. The Yes Altitude doesn't have fingerprint. Plus, great thing is its support VoLTE if I use Yes 4G LTE network. But sadly, it locked on TD-LTE only. However, 3G and 2G is unlocked to all networks.
The phone comes with SIM card bundled with free 2GB/month and unlimited calls within Yes 4G LTE network.
