I Got 9 Problems And A King Is 1 | 9 Kings (Kingdom Builder Roguelike - Demo)
9 Kings is a game where we take on the role of a King who must defend their realm against increasingly challenging waves of baddies by deploying various cards to help us out.
The big issue is that our realm can only accommodate 9 slots for either buildings or troops, so we need to be quite choosy with what we deploy. Do we use the slots for many soldiers or archers? Do we build defensive towers to attack or supporting towers to heal? Do we build a specialist building to give us unique benefits like producing gold or resurrecting the dead?
Initially we play as the slightly unexciting sounding King of Nothing, who has a selection of fairly basic cards, but soon we can play as the King of Spells and then the King of Blood.
Using our cards and the abilities given to us by various buildings, we're able to stack bonuses to create incredibly powerful effects. This is very clear when we get to play our wizards, who end up with some fantastic lightning and exploding enemy powers!
NOTE: This is the demo version of the game.
