For me, watching films is more than just a hobby or a way to pass the time. It’s an experience—a dive into various places, points of view, and feelings. Each movie is like a journey that lets me become a part of the characters’ struggles, victories, and tragedies. For me, it’s a window into the human state that shows me how we all share the same struggles, joys, and complexities.
But watching films is more than just observing; it’s also an act of humanity. Connecting deeply with people, going through their highs and lows, and finally seeing a part of ourselves in their stories is what it’s all about. Like a reminder that even though we are different, we are all connected by things like love, loss, hope, and sadness.
In addition, films can make you think, question your beliefs, and start deep conversations. These stories tell us hard truths, make us question the way things are, and inspire us to picture a world other than the one we live in. In this way, watching films can help you grow and learn more about yourself.
But maybe most of all, watching movies is a way for us to show how curious and creative we are. There are a lot of things that can happen in our imaginations, and we can dream with our eyes wide open and believe in the impossible, even if only for a moment.
That being said, why do we watch films? I think the answer lies in how we try to find meaning, relationship, and understanding in a world that seems to be in a lot of chaos and doubt. We find comfort, inspiration, and a sense of belonging in films. They remind us that we are never really alone, no matter how hard the trip may seem.
