I Play Philosoma (PS1) With Infinite Lives
3It's such a long time since I played this game. It's not the best of shmups out there, but I think it gets more hate than it actually deserves. Sure it does require some memorization to actually get far in or beat, and that's also why I edited the memory of the game so I had infinite lives. The voice acting is hilariously bad. The soundtrack by Kow Otani is great, who later has done a lot of anime soundtracks, but perhaps even more known for having done the Shadow of the Colossus soundtrack. The game also like to mix angles with the 3D possibilities of PS1. I enjoy the journey.
I hadn't played this game in a long time, and the controller I use isn't exactly the best, so I don't do all that well in this video. I've previously gotten to phase 3 without dying once before, but never actually beaten the game legit, that's how tricky the last phase is, and why I made it so I got infinite lives. I'm also using a controller that isn't all that great when it comes to the d-pad, so I'm not always able to avoid attack as well as I would have been with a better controller.
The emulator wasn't all that great at emulating the sound in some places, but I changed the settings, and it was improved quite a bit.
