Huh, I really thought this would be cool; the concept alone had me sold. A boss fight heavy game where you're on a motorcycle? sounds rad. however, the game seems too ambitious for its own good. it starts out with this awful tunnel sequence that just feels... off. the QTEs feel unfair. the driving doesn't feel good. then you're thrust into this boss fight. sure, you're probably supposed to lose but it would have been nice to know how the, for lack of a better term, isometric gameplay worked before dying. then story. lots of story. lots of baby's first video game tutorials yet STILL no real way to get a grip on the controls. ok, second level time. oh boy, ANOTHER horrible hallway ride section and when you don't clear a gap, you just magically float back to the road! it's really dumb! then second boss time which I gave several honest tries but maaaaaan it sucked. flinging the shit at it never felt good. taking CONSTANT damage really turned me off too. I can handle hard games. I enjoy a challenge. but not being able to avoid machine gun fire on a futuristic video game motorcycle? no amount of swerving allowed me to avoid damage and you have to yank the rocks apart to get HP back. this game feels like it doesn't know what it wants to me and just suffers for it, constantly. looking at the Steam forums, people are saying the older version was way better. Hopefully the dev learns from this since they have a rad concept on their hands.
