I try out: Jane's USAF Demo
4Sorry for the crappy video and annoying nose breathing. Hypercam and ActivePresenter weren't the right screen recorders for the job, and this was the best I can think of.
As you can see, Jane's USAF is not meant to run on modern systems like Windows 7 on my laptop. Although other games from the late 90s have their own issues, this one is kind of special. As you saw from the first few seconds, the picture was coming in real slowly as the game likes to take the low notch on framerate.
It's not known as why this occurs, but it has to do something with running multicore processors in which my laptop has 4. Although it was getting higher in the middle of the game, the control response was kind of choppy and it can result me in rolling too much. I was using keyboard controls as the demo won't recognize my controller (no joystick yet, sorry).
Fortunately, I have a full version of the game coming soon that my mom ordered from Amazon. Also, there are fixes to these framerate issues and other things such as the preferences menu which doesn't appear. Lets just hope it comes soon!
