Today I wanted to share with you all my biggest investment so far in World of Warcraft, and pretty much my biggest Shadowlands Investment aswell. Basically, I turned 10 million gold into 16 million gold, and here's how:
I bought items on Sunday and Tuesday (Sunday because people have more spare time to farm during weekends, and Tuesday because it's the day before reset). This allowed me to pick up lots of Callous Hides, Heavy Callous Hides, Elethium Ore and Lightless Silk at cheap prices. I then waited for Wednesday (this was the Wednesday when people could access their Rank 4 Legendaries, aka when they got enough Soul Ash to craft it) so I knew it would make a decent amount of profit.
I've done small investments and material flips like this every reset, but this time I went in with goldcap and an "all or nothing" mentality!
I went a bit overboard and bought 10x Rank 4 Legendaries aswell, which was not a good idea. I have sold all of them by now, some with a decent profit margin, others with a loss, but overall I made profit on those aswell, but I made a LOT more profit on materials.

Lesson learned: Prices go up on Wednesday, especially if you time it according to when people get enough Soul Ash to craft certain Legendary Ranks. Investing in materials is better than Legendaries, unless you sit at AH all the time and cancel-scan. Personally I only check AH twice a day, so Legendaries was a bad decision.
