Layla is not a weak hero. She's a very strong marksman if you learn how to use her efficiently. Layla is a late game type of marksman so farming is a must.
Many players think that layla is a basic hero. But she's not.
*She can't easily farm the jungle like other marksman (so if you choose retribution skill so you can farm jungle easily then you wont be able to escape when someone gank you).
*She don't have skills for escaping (so flicker is a must if you want to survive).
*She's an easy target in early game (so you need to be aware on ganks, you should always look on your map if you're farming or laning).
*She can't kill an opponent alone in early game if that opponent has the same level with her (because she don't have cc skill and she's quite soft).
*If she have low farm than her opponent then she's useless (so farm is must for layla not kills).
*She can be outsmarted easily if her opponent know her weakness and if he's a pro player (so you must be also a pro and learn to play smart).
*If you use layla in high rank you must be a pro layla user because if not you'll be a farm for them, not like in low rank that most of your opponent is not pro players you can outsmart them easily.
*Attacking far from opponent is her strength so learn to use her advantage to increase your chance of winning.
