I’m too tired
To do anything
But watch TV

You collapse into yourself
On the couch into a puddle

Golden age of tv
I do the dishes
Put the kids to sleep
They’ll wake me up
Before sunrise
And then before I realize
What is happening
It starts all over again
I gotta make some money
Or else we all move in with my parents
Eat an orange
Eat some grapes
That’s desert
When I act my age
I can’t get sick
Cuz the doctor bill
Will bankrupt me
This is not a drill
My life is moving faster
Than I could ever foresee
I stare at the computer
And then I watch TV
There have always been stories
It’s what humans do
We sat in caves and told the tales
Of the sun and of the moon
Stories can make you work
For better world if we try
Stories can make you love or hate
And they can pacify
