Ibanez RG vs RGA Body Shapes Discussion Comparison | Arched vs Flat Top Guitars
This is a discussion about the Ibanez RG vs RGA body shapes. This is less a guitar review and more a review on the guitar bodies, the general available new models, and a discussion on the viability, playability, and enjoyment of these. While they both have an arched top and a few other similarities, these guitar series of models quickly diverge. Which one is right for you and is there even a significant difference?

Both of these guitars have flat backs with belly carves, so the real differences are how the tops are shaped. The RG has a flat top with the typical forearm contour, whereas the RGA has an arched top.
