Xiaomi has rolled out ten new Premium Service Centres across major Indian cities, raising the bar for customer experience and after-sales care. The new facilities located in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad reflect the brand’s Customer First philosophy and its push to provide a more engaging ownership journey.
The initiative marks another step in Xiaomi’s deepening commitment to the Indian market. The company aims to scale this premium service model to 100 centres nationwide, adding to its already expansive network that covers nearly every pin code in the country.
Anthropic and Deloitte Strengthen Ties to Scale Enterprise AI
Anthropic and Deloitte have taken their collaboration a step further, unveiling an expanded partnership that will bring the AI startup’s Claude assistant to nearly 4.7 lakh Deloitte professionals worldwide.
The initiative represents Anthropic’s largest enterprise AI rollout to date. Beyond deployment, the two companies are setting up a formal certification programme to train 15,000 Deloitte employees in effectively leveraging Claude. Deloitte also plans to establish a Claude Center of Excellence, dedicated to helping clients implement AI solutions, share best practices, and provide on-ground technical expertise.
HMD Introduces Touch 4G A ‘Hybrid’ Between Feature Phone and Smartphone
Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has launched its latest device, the Touch 4G, in India blending the simplicity of a feature phone with the versatility of a smartphone.
Positioned as an affordable “hybrid phone,” the Touch 4G is designed for students, young users, and blue-collar professionals seeking essential smartphone features at a feature phone price point. The device sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen, offers cloud-based apps, and enables video calls and real-time chats via the Express Chat app available in 13 Indian languages for both Android and iOS users. It also supports Wi-Fi connectivity and hotspot sharing, expanding its usability for on-the-go communication.
Nvidia Pledges to Keep Sponsoring H-1B Visas Despite New U.S. Fee
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has reassured employees that the company will continue to sponsor H-1B visas and absorb all related costs, even after the U.S. government’s new $100,000 visa fee imposed under President Donald Trump’s recent executive order.
In a message to staff, Huang reaffirmed Nvidia’s commitment to supporting global talent mobility. The new rule, which restricts entry for H-1B holders unless their sponsoring employer pays the added fee, has sparked debate across the tech industry but Nvidia intends to maintain its hiring and sponsorship plans without compromise.
U.S. Lawmakers Push for Tougher Curbs on Chip Equipment Exports to China
After a bipartisan U.S. investigation revealed that Chinese chipmakers acquired $38 billion worth of advanced equipment last year, lawmakers are pressing for tighter restrictions on the sale of chipmaking tools to China.
Officials cited regulatory inconsistencies among the U.S., Japan, and the Netherlands, which have allowed certain non-U.S. manufacturers to continue selling technology to Chinese firms barred from doing business with American suppliers. The committee’s recommendation urges broader, coordinated export bans among allies to close these loopholes and curb China’s access to cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing tools.
