IdSoftware might have overcorrected DOOM Eternal's melee a bit too much

So, since parries give melee charges back you can punch the hunter 5 or 6 times depending on what he does. Would have been slightly better to fire the impaler at the beginning as well but who cares, end result doesn't change.
I also don't want people to have the impression that weapons here are all that important. And I'm not only talking about damage. The problem (yes, problem) here is that your falter options are really, really limited in terms of creativity and boil down to parry and melee when it comes to superheavies.
Yes, impaler can very unreliably falter and maybe you could find a barrel somewhere. All stuff, so far at least, that is not consistent.
This design makes EVERY 1-cycle look basically the same
