If you saw in my demonstration video about how to play the NES version of HRtP, the next demake is coming. Running on the Chuhou Joutai engine, we decided to see how Touhou 2: The Story of Eastern Wonderland might have looked like if it was made for the Famicom/NES.

Yes, this is a real game, made in GMS2, and is not an animation. This is also the first game being made on my new gaming workstation and to test the capabilities of GMS2.3. If you haven't seen my video of me building it, you might want to watch that first and then come back here. We're adding some accessibility features to make it easier for young and/or inexperienced players to play the games. In the Japanese version other than the title screen, there will also be no kanji in this version as we want to stay true to the graphical limitations of the NES. Want to play it?
