597Dr Beef never misses, they have given Quest 2 users some of the very best Quest 2 games to date thanks to their full VR conversions of classic games like Doom, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Half Life & Quake. Their new VR mod is a VR BOOMER SHOOTER dream, a full native Quest 2 version of WRATH AEON OF RUIN, a fast paced, gory, fantasy shooter that takes huge inspiration from games like Doom, Quake & Unreal Tournament. Something about these VR pixel shooter / retro VR FPS games really appeals to me, the visuals work so well in 3D and the speed and frantic nature of the gameplay is ideal for a native Quest 2 game (much like Doom VR, Wrath Aeon of Ruin VR works brilliantly in seated or standing positions so you can hop in for a quick blast of action wherever you are). Wrath Aeon of Ruin VR isn't publicly available yet but it will be once Dr Beef has worked through the list of bugs to squash and features to implement, to play the game in VR you do need to own a full copy of Wrath Aeon of Ruin on PC (you can purchase the game via Steam). All the VR gameplay in this video was recorded natively on Quest 2 and is representative of the current Quest 2 gameplay experience in game.
