1,949GRIMLORD is shaping up to be one of the most exciting NEW VR games in development, with a team focused on delivering a rich, story-driven VR souls like game that isn't just another VR arena brawler! I checked out an early demo for GRIMLORD VR a few months back and it was clear even at that stage that the devs have been heavily influenced by Dark Souls and the other From Software games, it immediately felt like the Dark Souls VR game I'd been looking for and this new build has just cemented those feelings with a much bigger world to explore and slower paced progression through a challenging world. The Dark Souls comparisons don't stop at the aesthetics, it's in the enemies attack patterns, the parrying mechanic, the enemy placement within the world (hiding behind corners ready to strike you down), the intensity of a battle when you're up against more than one opponent; there is Dark Souls DNA throughout GRIMLORD and yet is still manages to feel like something wholly unique within the VR space right now. I'm excited to push onwards into this demo build but if you're a fan of VR sword fighting games, are looking for a VR souls like or Dark Souls VR experience and are also tired of VR sandbox arenas then GRIMLORD deserves your attention...
This brand new VR gameplay was captured from an early development build of GRIMLORD, this footage is PC VR gameplay and was captured on Quest 2 with an airlink connection. At this stage I don't believe a native Quest 2 release is on the cards as GRIMLORD is just scheduled for a Steam release in Q4 2022. This is one new VR game you don't want to miss.
