The 3.2.1 “se” version of Nitrux , an Ubuntu- based GNU/Linux distribution of Mexican origin built on KDE Plasma 5 and Qt, was announced by Uri Herrera . The new version is said to bring together the latest software updates, bug fixes and performance improvements, and out-of-the-box hardware support. It is said that the codename of this version was determined as “se”, meaning “more secure environment”, due to the system-wide implementation of the password policy used in Calamares and other security-related changes. The system, configured on 6.6.9 Linux (Liquorix), comes with KDE Plasma 5.27.10, KDE Frameworks 5.114.0, KDE Gear 23.08.4. System; It is available with KDE Plasma 5.27.10, KDE Frameworks 5.114.0, KDE Gear 23.08.4. It is said that starting from this release, ISO files will be signed with a GPG key and MD5 checksum files will no longer be provided to verify the integrity of the ISO, but instead SHA512 checksum files will be provided. We’ve updated Calamares’s slideshow with information from the website during installation.
The placeholder text and the descriptions of each input field in the Users (usersq) module were improved to reflect better what each field does.
We’ve added a checkbox to turn on or off the password strength validation in Calamares. By default, the checkbox will be enabled. Additionally, we’ve added a warning mentioning the potential security risk that would result in turning off the password strength validation.
