Ikemen GO: Athena/Kula/Chun-Li v. Blue Mary/Mr. Big/Alex Vs. CPU Tag Match [TEST FOOTAGE]
Took a few days off from uploading/working on videos both to nurse a cold (which is still ongoing) and to test some more new things. One said new thing is me discovering that the ol' M.U.G.E.N/MUGEN engine from back in the day has a sort of spiritual successor named Ikemen, which basically functions like a modernized yet backwards carpetable engine that adds several built in upgrades to the relic fighting game engine of the past to bring it up to modern times. Of said features, actual network play native to the game is possible, as well as a built in tag team mode (8 MAN TAGS!) and various better ways to code the experience like arcade routing, character select functions, improved button mapping, up to 4 player controls and other abilities. I've always had my 2nd MUGEN off to the side to screw around with on a rainy day like me being sick, but this new engine during my beginning test phases already convinced me to make the full move over to this newer engine due to how much better it is and it's potential. It's a MUCH cleaner package overall and with some messing around I'm pretty sure it can be a legit avenue for some fun stuff in the future.
Here's a little screwing around match, with me on the P1 side, CPU on the 2P. Since I was always big on the Capcom vs. SNK customized style of MUGEN, I primarily am focused on that for my character and aesthetic choices when shopping for stuff. I have a Tekken 8 video coming up after this for those that are more interested in my usual uploads, so stay tuned.
