Dedicated to one of my best friends, Signol ⚠️

haii, welcome back to the me rambling about the video section!!

i actually dont have much free time anymore due to me having college (actual pain), i actually made this a week prior and just scheduled this video to come out specifically at signol's birthday just because hehe :3c
(if you see @SignolShark in the comments, wish them a happy birthday!)
(hope i set the scheduled date right .w.)

anyway, this originally started with me making a mock up area theme, and used the plains2 song i remember sig shared to me when we met. after i shared it, i accidentally gave them a nostalgic concussion and got a new found appreciation of using that as a motif for something related to them. first thought i had is an ultrakill boss song, like, ORDER but the requiem motif is replaced with plains2. i gave up after a while, but eventually did come back to the idea and messed around. this song went through multiple iterations and ended up becoming its own thing (mostly).

also, this tidbit is only going to be relevant to signol, but i love symbolism, so the flute actually represents skookie (past sona), or symbolically, "deep memories". and that's why it echoes back at the parts in the end. in turn, signol represents the overdriven guitar lead, invoking the emotion. it completely harmonizes with the flute in the plains2 drop, recreating that emotional nostalgic concussion. you could argue the other instrumentation also symbolizes the other ocs they have but ill leave that door open.

i actually have a backstory in mind to this specific version of signol, but dunno if its true to the character so im gonna leave it out the description. but let's just say that after everything that happened, they've accepted the way things are, and focus on the things that really matter.

oh and the symbol, yeah uh, i made specific, ill call them "friendship glyphs", one for each friend, just for fun. but uh maybe... ill be able to make more music for other good friends of mine. ill only be able to really capture their "essence" or whatever if i really know them to heart. maybe more fish? ~

anyway, even if i made this for one specific person, and planning to make more on other specific persons, i still do hope you arbitrary viewer who got recommended, a subscriber, a friend, a foe, whatever. let me know what you think... or not. just- hope you enjoy it! thanks for reading this whole sch-thing! :]
