A Super Rare is a community-made term for a special type of rare. There is no known way to tell if things are a Super Rare before people kill it and see the drops. While regular rares have an item level cap of 369/372, these rares can scale all the way up to 385 item level. As such, Super Rares are generally only special to players who are 365+ item level. If you're below this item level, regular rares will still drop upgrades for you.
